ABOUT Homemade protein powder RECIPE

This protein powder is made from protein rich sources like almonds,walnuts,peanuts,chia seeds,oats,pumpkin seeds.Along with proteins this also provides benefits of fiber,vitamins,antioxidants and essential fatty acids also.Ideal for all age groups and can be taken with milk,yoghurt or smoothies also.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Almonds-1 cup
  2. Peanuts-1 cup
  3. Watermelon seeds/magajtari-1 cup
  4. Walnuts-1 cup
  5. Oats-1 cup
  6. milk powder-1 cup
  7. Chia seeds-2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients.
  2. Roast almonds for 2 minutes on slow flame.
  3. Roast peanuts for 2 minutes.
  4. Roast magajtari seeds for a minute.
  5. Roast oats for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Roast walnuts for a minute.Do not roast till colour changes,we are roasting everything so that moisture evaporates.
  7. Now let everything cool down.
  8. Put everything except milk powder in a mixer pot.
  9. Pulse and grind as all are oil secreting things.
  10. Now if you are going to use this protein powder for very small babies or elderly sick people then you can sieve it with thick strainer.
  11. You will get a fine powder like this.
  12. Add milk powder and mix well.
  13. Our protein powder is ready.Put a spoonful of protein powder twice a day in milk,yoghurt,lassi,smoothies etc.
  14. If your kids like choclate flavour,just add 2 tbsp of cocoa powder or drinking choclate powder to this powder.
  15. Fill in airtight bottle and refrigerate if you are going to keep for more than 1 week.
