Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Wheat flour-1 cup
  2. Maida-1 cup
  3. Milk powder-1\4 cup
  4. Instant yeast-1 & 1\2 tsp
  5. Sugar-1 Tsp
  6. Salt-1 Tsp
  7. Beetroot puree-1\4 cup
  8. Olive oil-2 tbsp
  9. Milk or egg - to brush on top

Instructions

  1. Boil cubed beetroot.cool and grind it to a paste form.
  2. In a mixing bowl add both flours, yeast, sugar, milk powder, salt and mix well.Then add beetroot puree and mix it.Add water and knead to a dough.
  3. Add oil and knead to a pliable dough.Cover and keep it to double in size.
  4. After it has proofed well punch the air pour and make it in a form of a log.Place it in an oiled baking pan for the second rise.
  5. When it had doubled up brush on top with egg or milk.Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 deg C for 30-35 mins or till it sounds hollow on top.
