Multigrain dhokla is a rajasthani cusine, which is made by boiling in water , combination of wheat flour, rice and pulses ,is a whole meal content ,so this dhokla is veru good for health as you will get complete diet in a snack

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 tbsp yellow moong daal
  2. 2 tbsp moong chilka daal
  3. 2 tbsp tuwer daal
  4. 2 tbsp chana daal
  5. 1/2 cup rice
  6. 1 cup wheat flour
  7. 1 tsp baking soda
  8. 1 tsp cumin
  9. 2 green chillies
  10. 2 tbsp oil
  11. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  13. Pinch of hing
  14. Salt to taste
  15. 6 cups of water
  16. 1 star anise
  17. 2 green cardomom
  18. 2 cloves
  19. 2 papercorns

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice and all.pulses toghether for 6 hours
  2. After 6 hours discard the water from it and mix it with whear flour
  3. Add green chillies, red chilly powder, cumin , hing, salt , 0il , turmeric and baking soda in it
  4. Mix all the ingredients and make a soft smooth dough
  5. In a wok add water ,salt , papercorn , cardomom , cloves and star anise and bring it to a boil
  6. Meantime make for making dhokla , take a small ball from the we prepare , flatten it
  7. Now in the center of this dhokla make a whole with ypur finger
  8. Make all in same way
  9. When water comes to a boil add dhokla into the wok and boil
  10. Boil the dhokla's for 10-15 minute
  11. After 15 minutes take out the dhokla un a plate pour some water un which we boil the dhokla
  12. Serve hot with water ,.1 tbsp of pure ghee and sorinkle sone chaat masala
  13. And enjoy

Nice recipe. We also add chopped onion and tomato in the dough and also add coarse part of wheat flour remained after seiving dalbati flour which is very rich in fibres and steam in idli cooker and serve with a special dal along with lemon ,ghee,powdered sugar and pickle.
