Though this Double Layered Vanilla & Rose Milk Burfi heart is a special Valentine's day recipe, it is a perfect treat for your valentine anytime. It is an amazing sweet for both your sweet heart and little hearts.

Valentine's Day Special Vanilla & Rose Milk Burfi Hearts

Ingredients to make Valentine's Day Special Vanilla & Rose Milk Burfi Hearts

  • Milk Powder - 1 cup
  • Milk - 10 tbsp
  • butter - 2 1/2 tbsp
  • Melted ghee - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 3 tbsp
  • Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp
  • Liquid rose Essence - 10 drops
  • Cherries - 2

How to make Valentine's Day Special Vanilla & Rose Milk Burfi Hearts

  1. Grease a plate with 1/2 tbsp butter and keep it ready.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp butter in a thick bottomed pan.
  3. Once the butter melts, add 5 tbsp milk, 1/2 cup milk powder, 1/4 tsp vanilla essence and 1 tbsp sugar. Stir it continuously till everything is combined well and not sticking to the sides of the pan.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the greased plate. Grease the back of a stainless steel spoon with ghee and spread the mixture smoothly with the back of the spoon. Form a smooth layer with 1/4 inch height.
  5. Mix the rose syrup with the remaining 5 tbsp milk and keep it ready. Heat the remaining 1 tbsp butter in the same pan.
  6. Once the butter melts, add rose essence, 1/2 cup milk powder, 1/4 tsp vanilla essence and 2 tbsp sugar. Stir it continuously till everything is combined well and not sticking to the sides of the pan.
  7. Transfer this mixture on the top of the vanilla layer. Grease the back of another stainless steel spoon with ghee and spread the mixture smoothly with the back of the spoon. Form a layer with 1/4 inch height on top of the vanilla layer.
  8. Cool down the burfi for 30 seconds.
  9. Cut the burfi gently with heart shaped cookie cutter.
  10. Cut cherries into 2 halves and make 4 hearts. Press them on the milk burfi hearts gently and serve chilled.

My Tip:

Refrigerate the burfi and serve it cold for an amazing taste. You can adjust the quantity of the sugar as you desire.
