ABOUT Quinoa Oats and Lentil Dosa RECIPE

Quinoa, oats and lentil dosa can be made almost instantly unlike regular dosa which needs planning, grinding and fermenting one day before. As it is gluten and carbohydrate free even diabetic people can enjoy this without any regret.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup quinoa
  2. 1 cup oats
  3. 1/2 cup chana daal
  4. 1/2 cup urad dal
  5. 1/2 cup masoor dal
  6. 1/2 cup mung dal with skin
  7. 1/2 inch piece of ginger
  8. 2-3 green chillies
  9. salt to taste
  10. 2 tbsp oil/ghee
  11. 1 tsp cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. Wash Quinoa properly for 3-4 times till the water run clear. Quinoa needs to be washed thoroughly to remove the bitterness. Now wash and soak all dals, quinoa and oats together. Soak it for 4 hours.
  2. Put soaked dal and quinoa into a blender. Add salt, ginger, chillies and cumin seeds.
  3. Grind it very well using little water. Make it into normal dosa batter consistency.
  4. If you have time let it rest for 6-7 hours if not then atleast for 1-2 hours.
  5. Heat nonstick griddle and pour one big spoon full of batter and spread it into a thin dosa.
  6. You can sprinkle Paneer, beetroot , cheese or garlic chutney or any topping of your liking.
  7. Cook it until golden brown from the bottom.
  8. Roll Quinoa oats and lentil dosa. Serve it with Coconut chutney or Onion chutney.
