Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 large sweet potato, peeled and roughly chopped
  2. 1 head broccoli, thinly sliced
  3. 1 medium onion, diced
  4. 1 carrot diced
  5. 1 medium tomato diced
  6. 1 clove garlic, minced
  7. 1 cup fresh coconut milk
  8. 10-12 cashew soaked in water and made to a smooth paste
  9. salt and black pepper, to taste
  10. 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  11. olive oil, for serving


  1. Take all the ingredients except coconut milk and cashew nut paste and put in a pressure cooker. Add 2 cups water and cook it for 2-3 whistles.
  2. Turn of the flame and let it cool. One cool put all the boiled vegetables in a blender and make a smooth paste.
  3. Take fresh coconut, cut into small pieces and grind in a mixer. Not add little water in this coconut paste and squeeze out the coconut milk using a sieve.
  4. Add the coconut milk and cashew paste to the soup
  5. Take a deep bottom pan add some olive oil. Once the oil become hot add pepper powder, cinnamon powder and the soup. Add salt. Bring it to a boil and serve hot along with tossed vegetables or garlic bread.
