ABOUT Banana Rasayana: Banana Salad with Coconut Milk RECIPE

This is a traditional recipe that I have learnt from my mother and mother in law. This is a healthy dessert or accomplishment for many south Indian breakfasts.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ripe Bananas(large) - 6 to 8 (numbers)
  2. Jaggery powder ½ cup
  3. Thick Coconut Milk 1 Cup
  4. Cardamom powder ¼ tsp
  5. Til/ Black Sesame 1 tsp (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel banana, Chop into small pieces.
  2. Mix Jaggery powder and keep aside.
  3. Grind Coconut gratings with little water and get thick coconut milk by straining in a juice strainer
  4. Add coconut milk to the banana Jaggery mixture. Add cardamom powder for the flavour.
  5. Heat the pan, add sesame (no oil). On spluttering, add to the above prepared rasayana.
  6. Mix well and serve
