ABOUT Trio cheezla RECIPE

This is a cheesy twist to the regular dhokla, hence the name Cheezla. A perfect breakfast inspired by the Indian flag.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Idli batter - 1 cup
  2. For orange paste : red chilli - 4
  3. Carrot paste - 1/4 th cup
  4. Green paste or chutney : coriander and mint leaves [1/4 th cup each]
  5. onion -1
  6. green chillies - 1
  7. lemon juice - 1 tsp
  8. grated cheese - 2 tbsp
  9. Salt
  10. oil
  11. Fruit salt - 1 packet
  12. for garnishing : Masala peas sev [tomato and mint sev]

Instructions

  1. Divide the idli batter into 3 parts, to one part, add the orange paste, to another, add the green paste and to the third, leave it white. Now mix them well and add eno fruit salt to each of them equally. fold it and pour them into separate dhokla moulds. Steam them 20 -25 minutes and leave them to cool for sometime.
  2. Now once they are cold enough, place each layer on one another, sprinkle generous amount of cheese.
  3. Now garnish with masala peas, and the orange & mint sev for the different colors of the flag, cut and serve.
