Daal dhokli

Ingredients to make Daal dhokli

  • wheat flour dough 3/4 cup
  • gram flour 2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 3/4 tsp
  • red chilly powder 3/4 tsp
  • asafoetida 2 pinch
  • oil 1 tsp
  • peanut 1 1/2 tsp
  • kokum petals 3
  • jaggery grated 11/2 tsp
  • ghee 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • cumin seeds 3/4 tsp
  • Dry red chilly 2
  • curry leaves 6
  • coriander leaves chopped 2 tsp

How to make Daal dhokli

  1. Boil the daal.
  2. Take whole wheat flour in a bowl.add gram flour ,salt,turmeric powder,half the red chilly powder,one pinch of asfoetida and oul and mix.
  3. Add sufficient water and knead into a stiff dough. Roll Sadaf Interpol apply a little oil and roll out as Roti shape
  4. Cut into thin strips. add salt remaining turmeric powder peanuts kokum jaggery and the remaining red chilli powder to the dal and stir.
  5. Add the dou stipes and let it cook on medium heat.
  6. Heat Ghee in a pan.add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,broken dry red chilly,curry leaves and remain Asafoetida and add it to the daal.
  7. Simmer for five minutes.

My Tip:

Serve hot.
