  • Mix Dal 1 cup (Dal Tuvar dal chana dal masoor dal urad dal)
  • turmeric 1/2 spoon
  • water as required
  • salt to taste
  • To make tadka:
  • oil 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds one spoon
  • cumin seeds one spoon
  • clove 1
  • bay leaf 1
  • curry leaves
  • green chilly 1 chopped
  • onion 1 chopped
  • tomato 1 chopped
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/2 spoon
  • Coriandet 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 spoon
  • ginger paste 1 spoon
  • salt to taste
  • asafoetida 1 pinch
  • garlic 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice 1 spoon

How to make Mix daal -less oily, less spicy

  1. Mix dals. Soak it.
  2. In a pressure cooker put the soaked daal, add some turmeric powder,salt and Boil it.
  3. In a pan. Heat oil. Add mustard seeds,cumin seeds.add pinch of asfoetida,dry red chilly,cloves, curry leaves, bay leaf and cook for a minutes.
  4. Add onion, ginger, garlic, chilly and all spices.
  5. Cook till the masala dissolved in it.
  6. Daal is ready.

My Tip:

Serve with rice.
