Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. matar [green peas] 2 cup
  2. Makhana(puffed lotus seed) 2 cup
  3. Onion 1
  4. Tomato 2 ,pureed
  5. Garlic 5-6 cloves fine chopped
  6. Cumin seed 1/2tsp
  7. Asagotida 1 pinch
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Red Chilli powder 1 tsp
  10. coriander powder 1 tsp
  11. garam masala 1/2 tsp
  12. kasuri methi 1 tsp
  13. ‎2 tsp malai/cream
  14. yogart 1 tbsp
  15. bay leaf 1-2
  16. black pepper 4-5
  17. salt to tast
  18. Oil

Instructions

  1. heat oil in a kadhai and roast makhana in it till it becomes golden brown and crispy
  2. in the same pan again heat oil and add bay leaf asafotida ,cumin seed,black pepper in it
  3. add ginger ,garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes now add onion paste mix well and saute for on medium flame
  4. now add tomato puree mix well
  5. add turmeric ,red chilli and coriander powder mix well add cream and yogart
  6. Now add kasuri methi and green peas and mix well cook for 7-8minute on low flame till peas are soft
  7. now add makhana mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes now add garam masala mix well
  8. matar makhana is ready
  9. garnish with chopped coriander
