Bajra khichadi

Ingredients to make Bajra khichadi

  • 1 bow bajra coarsely grounded
  • 1/2 bowl moth
  • 8 glass water
  • 3 chopped onions
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 11/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder

How to make Bajra khichadi

  1. Take bajra moth in a bowl. Mix them well.Wash them and soak for 10 minutes
  2. Now take water in a pressure cooker and by adding pinch of salt and pinch of ghee allow it to boil
  3. Now add moth bajra mix in pressure cooker in boiling water and stir it for sometime
  4. Then tightly close the lid of pressure cooker and after 15 minutes off flame and allow it to remain in steam.Then open the pressure cooker and it will be cooked well
  5. Take a pan. Add ghee in it . Allow cumin seeds to crackle. Then add chopped onions, tomatoes and ginger garlic paste in it.
  6. Sauté it for sometime when beautiful aroma spreads all over. Add salt, red chilli powder and black pepper powder.
  7. Finally mix it well with boiled moth bajra mix and khichadi is ready to be served
  8. Enjoy it hot with curd....

My Tip:

We can have this khichadi in morning breakfast also.. it really feels good and fills our stomach
