ABOUT Dal Palak RECIPE

A healthy dish to be taken in lunch or dinner with chappati

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1/2 bowl yellow moong dal
  2. 200 GMs spinach chopped
  3. 2 onions chopped
  4. 2 tomatoes chopped
  5. 1 tsp ginger chopped
  6. 10-12 garlic cloves
  7. 1 tbsp ghee
  8. 1/2 glass water
  9. salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder
  10. 1 tsp dhaniya masala

Instructions

  1. Take dal, spinach in a pressure cooker and allow it to boil by adding 1/2 glass water and pinch of salt
  2. Allow the whistle to blow for 10 minutes and then open pressure cooker
  3. Now take a pan. Add ghee. Allow cumin seeds to crackle and then add chopped onions, tomatoes and ginger garlic cloves and sauté it for sometime so that all ingredients r cooked well by adding salt, red chilli powder and dhaniya masala.
  4. After sautéing it will come out like this
  5. Now finally mix with boiled dal Palak mix and serve hot with chappati
