Ingredients to make Khatti moong dal with sona,chandi balls

  • 200 gm Sabut moong dal [soaked overnight or 1 hr]
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2-3 inches ginger
  • 100 gm khoya
  • 1 tsp Red pepper Powder
  • 2 tsp salt [according to taste]
  • 1/2 tsp elaichi [cardamom] powder
  • 1 tsp nut powder of cashew and almonds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 onions fried sliced
  • maida 1/4 of khoya
  • 2-3 silver warak
  • oil for fry
  • 2 -3 tsp cream

How to make Khatti moong dal with sona,chandi balls

  1. Boil the dal along with butter,grated ginger,red pepper and salt.
  2. Knead a dough with Maida and khoya & ADD nut powder, make small balls out of the dough.
  3. Then fry it at low flame
  4. Cover the balls with silver warak immediately
  5. after some time add fried onions,elaichi& ,cinnamon powder in dal ,cook for some minutes
  6. ADD cream & lemon juice in it
  7. Dip these balls in dal
  8. Then serve it
