Ingredients to make jaggery rice

  • 1/2 bowl jaggery
  • 3/4 glass basmati rice
  • 2 glass water
  • 2 tsp desi ghee
  • 1 tsp fennel or saunf
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp white choco chips as needed
  • Dry fruits like pistachios, almonds, black raisins, anjeer, cashew nuts as needed
  • Silver balls for garnishing

How to make jaggery rice

  1. Collect all the ingredients to make yummy jaggery rice
  2. Take a big pan. Add jaggery in it. Allow it to melt down.
  3. When it melt completely, then add water.After a boil in water, add washed and soaked rice for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add ghee in it. After 3-4 boils in water, with stirring now and then, add cardamom powder saunf
  5. Slowly the water gets absorbed, rice becomes soft andcooked
  6. Then finally add dry fruits and choco chips
  7. Garnish with dry fruits and silver balls and serve hot
