ABOUT Gujarati kadhi RECIPE

This is Gujrati style of kadhi, to be served with some hot rice on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup curd
  2. 2 tsp chickpea flour
  3. 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  4. 3 green chilly chopped
  5. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 3 tsp sugar
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 3 cupWater
  9. 2 tsp butter
  10. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  11. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  12. 1 dried red chilly
  13. 2 cloves
  14. 1 pinch asfoetida
  15. Curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Take yogurt in a pan.
  2. Add chickpea flour,ginger paste, chilly paste,turmeric powder, sugar and salt.
  3. Whisk it well.
  4. Then add water.Mix well.
  5. Put it on medium flame, stirring continuously.
  6. Heat the ghee another pan.,add mustard seeds,cumin seeds, dry red chilly, cloves,
  7. Add curry leaves and Asafoetida.
  8. Add this seasoning to the kadhi.stir well.

It goes well with plain rice.
