Sabudana kheer is very easy and delicious dessert, sago kheer is prepared especially during fasting festivals. .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. ¼ cup sabudana /tapioca Pearls
  2. ½ cup water, for soaking
  3. 3 cups milk, full cream
  4. ¼ cup sugar, add more if required
  5. 10 cashews, halved
  6. 2 tbsp raisins
  7. ¼ tsp cardamom powder


  1. In a small bowl soak sabudana in water for 30 minutes. soak more to reduce the cooking time.
  2. In a thick bottomed pan add milk. also add soaked sabudana along with water.
  3. Boil the milk on medium flame. stir occasionally making sure it doesnt stick to bottom of pan.
  4. Boil for 5 minutes or till the sabunda turns translucent. now add ¼ cup sugar. add more sugar if you like kheer to be more sweet.
  5. Add cashews, raisins and cardamom powder. mix well making sure everything is mixed well.
  6. simmer for another 20 minutes stirring in between.
  7. finally, serve sabudana kheer hot or chilled.
