Sabudana khichdi

Ingredients to make Sabudana khichdi

  • Sago/sabudana 2 bowls
  • 1 potato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • Half capsicum
  • 2 tablespoon cabbage
  • Half carrot
  • 1 green chilli
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Some curry leaves
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • oil 2 tablespoons

How to make Sabudana khichdi

  1. Wash and soak sago for 2 hours
  2. Put oil in a wok. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  3. Add finely chopped onions and finely chopped tomatoes. Roast well.
  4. Add all the chopped vegetables, the soaked sago, salt and chilli powder. Mix well.
  5. Cover with a lid and cooke on a very slow flame until translucent.
  6. Turn off the flame and add lemon juice.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves

My Tip:

You can add vegetables of your choice and some sugar too
