ABOUT Piyush RECIPE

Piyush is a smooth and creamy beverage, this drink is very famous and well known in Maharastrian and Gujarathi cuisine. Also its an excellent summer cooler.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Shrikand - 1 cup (Kesar/Cardamom Flavoured)
  2. Milk - 1 cup
  3. Curd - 1.5 cups
  4. Sugar - 2 tbsp
  5. Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  6. Grated Nutmeg powder -1/4 tsp
  7. Pistachio - For garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add the shrikand, curd, milk, sugar, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder. Using a hand whisk, mix everything well till its smoothy and creamy. Keep this in the refrigerate for atleast 2 hrs to get it chilled.
  2. Pour this chilled piyush in serving glasses and garnish it with chopped pistachio to serve.
