This is an easy way to make some delicious and healthy upma at home with broken rice.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Broken rice3/4 cup
  2. Mustard 1 tea spoon
  3. Broken u.paruppu 1 tea spoon
  4. Red chilly 3
  5. Besan dall 1 tea spoon
  6. Kari leaves
  7. Hing
  8. Coconut oil 2. Tea spoon
  9. Gingly oil 2 tea spoon
  10. Salt
  11. Water
  12. 1

Instructions

  1. Heat some oil in a wok.
  2. Add all the ingredients, one by one.
  3. Stir for few minutes and add required amount of water.
  4. Add salt
  5. Boil add broken rava
  6. Cook for 30 minutes with intermittent stirring.
  7. The consistency must be soft and it should be cooked well.
  8. The upma is ready to be served, serve hot with some chutney or pickle on the side.
