ABOUT Butter Bun RECIPE

This is a special dish that we get only in the streets of Madurai, Tamil Nadu. A sweet and buttery bun, easy to make with only 3 ingredients and so yummy!

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Sweet buns - 5
  2. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  3. Butter - 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat a griddle, add a tbsp of butter on it to heat, slit the bun into two and place it upside down over the butter. When it slightly crisps, flip it over and sprinkle 1/2 tbsp of sugar over it. Then flip again and toast till the sugar is caramelized.
  2. Follow this process with the rest of the buns as well.
  3. Serve it hot.
