Came across this recipe on Pininterest and instantly wanted to try it out. Turned out simply delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 packet Macaroni (450 gms)
  2. 200 to 250 gms Cheese Cubes (Cheddar)
  3. Milk 1 1/4 cup
  4. Flour 1/2 cup
  5. 3 to 4 tsp Butter
  6. Eggs 2
  7. Bread crumbs 2 to 3 cups
  8. salt as per taste
  9. Black pepper powder as per taste
  10. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil the Macaroni until tender, drain and keep aside.
  2. Grate the cheese and keep aside.
  3. Put a pan on the stove and add the butter, let it melt then add the flour and saute till its turns slightly brown. Add in the milk and whisk well to prevents any lumps from forming.
  4. Add in the grated cheese gradually. Mix til the cheese is all melted and smooth.
  5. Add in the boiled macaroni, mix until well coated. Add salt and pepper. Keep aside to cool.
  6. When cool, keep in the refrigerator fr at least an hour. Then take out and make round bite sized balls and place on a greased baking tray. Freeze for another hour.
  7. Prepare the egg wash by whisking the eggs and milk. Just before baking dip each Mac-n-Cheese ball in the egg wash and roll in bread crumbs to coat evenly.
  8. Heat oil in a large wok, fry for 3 to 4 minutes then drain on a paper towel.
