ABOUT Atta halwa RECIPE

Atta halwa served hot with chopped nuts is a real comforting dessert in winters. Kids and adults, both finish it up in no time.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup wheat flour/ atta
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 cup ghee
  4. 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
  5. 1 1/2 cup water
  6. almonds, pista for garnish

Instructions

  1. Take a wok and heat up the ghee.
  2. Add flour and keep stirring on low flame till brown.
  3. In another pan add water and sugar and boil till sugar dissolves.
  4. Add cardamom powder to the flour.
  5. When the flour is brown and done , slowly add the sugar water to it.
  6. Keep stirring it well for 1-2 mins to remove lumps.
  7. Switch off the gas and serve hot with chopped nuts.
