  • Thinai / Foxtail millet 1/2 cup
  • moong dal 1 tbsp
  • Cardamon
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut
  • jaggery 1/2 cup
  • FOR GARNISH
  • ghee 2 Tbsp
  • cashew
  • raisins

How to make Thinai Amudhu / Thinai Kali(Energy rich)

  1. ADD 1/2 CUP FOXTAIL MILLET AND 1 TBSP MOONG DAL. RINSE THEM 3 TO 4 TIMES IN RUNNING WATER
  2. DRY ROAST THEM TILL NO MOISTURE AND YOU GET GOOD AROMA
  3. COOL THE MIXTURE AND ADD IT TO BLENDER. ADD 3 CARDAMON
  4. GRIND TO RAVA CONSISTENCY
  5. ADD 2 CUPS OF WATER. ADD 1/2 CUP PURE ORGANIC JAGGERY
  6. WHEN JAGGERY SYRUP IS READY ADD GROUND POWDER. MIX WELL
  7. ADD GRATED COCONUT
  8. MIX WELL
  9. CLOSE WITH A LID AND COOK ON LOW FLAME FOR 5 MINUTES AND REST FOR 5 MINUTES
  10. GARNISH WITH GHEE, ROASTED CASHEW AND RAISINS

My Tip:

You can use any Millet to prepare this sweet
