  • Raw plantain 1
  • Sambar powder 1 tsp
  • salt accordingly
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • Rice flour 1 tablespoon
  • Groundnut oil 50 ml

How to make Plantain Veg Fish Fry

  1. PEEL A PLANTAIN AND SLICE THE INTO THICKER PIECES
  2. SLICE THE WHOLE RAW PLANTAIN SIMILARLY
  3. SPREAD THEM IN A PLATE
  4. ADD 1 TABLESPOON OF GROUND NUT OIL
  5. ADD SALT ACCORDINGLY
  6. ADD TURMERIC POWDER
  7. ADD SAMBAR POWDER
  8. ADD ASAFOETIDA
  9. ADD 1 TABLESPOON OF RICE FLOUR
  10. SPRINKLE LITTLE WATER AND MIX WELL
  11. COAT THE SLICES WITH THE MASALA ON BOTH SIDES EQUALLY
  12. LET THEM MARINATE FOR AN HOUR
  13. FRY THE SLICES ON A TAWA IN MEDIUM HEAT WITH LITTLE OIL
  14. ROAST TILL BOTH THE SIDES BECOME CRISPY
  15. I HAVE PACKED THIS WITH LEMON RICE FOR LUNCH
