A layered dessert loaded with fruit, sweet sauces, vermicelli and nuts. Tastes best when served chilled.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Milk 500 ml
  2. Sugar 1/2 c
  3. Falooda sev or nylon vermicelli 4 tbsp
  4. Assorted fruits like banana, pomegranate, apple, berries, grapes etc 3/4 c
  5. Mixed nuts and dry fruits ( almonds, cashews, raisins) 4 tbsp
  6. Vanilla extract 1 tsp
  7. Vanilla ice cream 2 big scoops
  8. Basil seeds ( Sabja seeds) 1 tbsp soaked in 1/2 c of water
  9. Rose Syrup 2 Tbsp


  1. Soak the basil seeds in 1/2 c of water for half an hour.
  2. In the meanwhile, Cook the falooda sev as per instructions on the packet. Drain and let cool.
  3. Boil milk and add sugar while it is still hot. Let cool completely.
  4. Add rose syrup to the milk and mix well. Refrigerate.
  5. Also, refrigerate the cut fruits too.
  6. To assemble the falooda, you need two tall and considerably big glasses.
  7. Divide the fruits, nuts, ice cream, basil seeds and sev into two portions.
  8. Place the fruits at the bottom of one glass.
  9. Now, add the sev.
  10. Next add ice cream.
  11. Add the soaked basil seeds to the top of the ice cream.
  12. Sprinkle nuts and raisins.
  13. Pour one cup of milk slowly from the sides.
  14. Repeat with another glass.
  15. Serve cold with a spoon and generous sprinkling of chocolate vermicelli if you desire.
