My mother's fav dish. In my childhood , there were not much varieties of food even in restaurants. So while going out having a masala dosa was our delight. But nowadays almost every one makes it at home. we have it sometimes for dinner also. Always make it only when the person is at the table for having it. serve piping hot.

Ingredients Serving: 3

dosa batter with rice & urud dal 3 cups
Boiled potato 2
onion chopped 3
green chillies 3
ginger a small piece
Curry leaves a few
coriander leaves 1/4 cup
turmeric powder 2 pinch
salt
oil 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Red chilli 1

coriander leaves a few.

Instructions

heat a pan with oil. put mustard & red chilli & curry leaves. fry.
then add chopped onion , green chillies & ginger. fry till done.
add mashed potatoes along with some turmeric & salt.
add some water about 1/4 cup. cook till all water is gone & the masala is in a semi thick form .
make dosa as big as possible . cook both sides till crispy.
put some masala in the middle & fold it.
serve hot with coconut chutney .
