Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Onion - 1 - roughly chopped
  2. Garlic pods - 5 to 6
  3. Tomato - 4 - roughly chopped
  4. Tamarind a small piece
  5. Jaggery - a small piece
  6. Red chilli - 4
  7. Salt to taste
  8. To Temper
  9. Gingely oil - 3 tbsp
  10. Mustard - 1tsp
  11. urad dal - 1 tsp
  12. Curry leaves - few

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop onion and tomato
  2. Peel the garlic pods
  3. Grind onion, garlic, tomato, tamarind, chillies into fine paste without adding water and keep aside.
  4. Now take kadai and add oil. Temper it with mustard, urad dal and curry leaves. Add a bit of hing and now add the grided paste.
  5. Allow the mixture to boil and then keep the stove in sim.
  6. Keep it for 10 minutes with light stirring in between. Keep it till the water in the chutney get dried up.
  7. You can store it in a air tight container and keep it in the fridge for 4 to 5 days. You can also take it for long distance travel. It stays up to 1 day without refrigerating.
