ABOUT Vegetable dal khichdi RECIPE

This khichdi is a very tasty and healthy.This is one of the quick and easy recipe when i feel tired i make this for that one pot meal.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/4 cup Moongdal
  2. 1/4 cup Toordal
  3. 1/4 cup Mashoor Dal
  4. 1cup vegetables
  5. 1/2cup rice
  6. 1/2tsp mustard seeds
  7. 1/2tsp cumin seeds
  8. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  9. 1tsp red chilli powder
  10. 1tsp oil
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1chopped onion
  13. 6 garlic cloves chopped
  14. Dry red chilli
  15. 2_3curry leaves
  16. As needed chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat a cooker pan, add 1/2 tsp oil. Add all lentis (dal), fry them for 2 minutes.
  2. After add chopped vegetables, turmeric powder, salt,and 1/2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder ,mix it
  3. now add rice and give it a good mix . Add 3 cups of water and cover the lid , allow it 6 to 7 whistles.
  4. when cooker is completely cooled, open the lid and give it a good mix.
  5. Now take a pan heat 1tsp oil add mustard seeds and cumin seeds . next add red chillies and curry leaves, next you can add onion and garlic and fry it for few seconds. switch off the flame
  6. Transfer this tadka in your Khichdi , garnish some coriander leaves . serve this Khichdi With curd and papad, salad as your wish. I hope you all would try this recipe of mine.
