Ingredients to make veg fried rice

  • Basmati rice 2 cups
  • carrot 1 thinly sliced
  • onion 4 thinly sliced
  • beans 5-6 chopped
  • spices like whole black pepper 1 tsp
  • cinnamon stick 1 inch
  • bay leaf 2
  • star anise
  • clove 4-5
  • cardamom 2-3
  • salt
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 2 tsp

How to make veg fried rice

  1. wash & soak rice for half an hour
  2. fry sliced onions till golden brown and keep aside
  3. now fry carrot & beans separately and keep aside
  4. in a pan take 2 tbsp oil and put the garam masala like cinnamon stick,bay leaf,star anise,cardamom,black pepper and cloves.
  5. saute for 1/2 min till they leaves aroma
  6. now add the rice and mix well
  7. saute rice for about 2-3 mins till it is not stick to the pan
  8. now add salt,turmeric powder and sugar and mix well
  9. add 4 cups of boiling water and mix well
  10. add 2 tsp desi ghee and cook it covered in low flame for 10 add the fried vegetables & onions in the top
  11. mix well and serve hot

My Tip:

If u want u can put fried cashew n raisins to it
