ABOUT Radish Leaves Chutney RECIPE

We prepare sambar, raitha in radish. but we totally neglect its leaves. But today am sharing healthy and nutrient radish leaves chutney which goes well with chapati, rotti, dosa and even with hot rice.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Radish Leaves - 2 cups
  2. Oil - 1 tbsp
  3. Grated coconut - 1 cup
  4. Tamarind - 1 lemon size
  5. Roasted gram 1 tbsp
  6. Sesame - 1/2 tbsp
  7. Poppy seeds - 1/2tbsp
  8. Green chillies - 3-4
  9. Turmeric - 1 tsp
  10. Salt - as needed
  11. Cloves - 1
  12. chakke - 1
  13. Water - as required
  14. Onion - 1 small size
  15. Chana dal - 1 tsp
  16. urad dal = 1 tsp
  17. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. In a deep kadai/pan, add 1 tsp of oil, chana dal, urad dal and saute for few minutes.
  2. Now add onion and let it turn transparency, and add radish leaves. fry till raw smell of leaves goes well or about 4-5 minutes in a medium flame. Once it done let it cool.
  3. In a jar, add all the remaining ingredient include fried items and grind it into smooth paste by adding water and salt.
  4. Now radish leaves chutney is ready to serve.
