ABOUT Oats and potato tikki burger RECIPE

Burgers can also be made healthier using healthy items like salad veggies oats etc. There is no limit in experimenting with burgers. This time i made oats and potato tikkis. Loaded with salad veggies like tomatoes onions shredded cabbage etc. It turned out delicious and appreciated by family too. This yummy mayonnaise gives it a kick specially to the fussy kids. Do try this burger atleast once for family and see the satisfying faces.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 3 medium sized boiled potatoes
  2. Half cup oats
  3. Chopped fresh cilantro
  4. Half tbsp red chilli powder
  5. Half tbsp amchur powder
  6. Half tbsp coriander powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 2-3 burger buns
  9. One tomato cut into rounds
  10. One onion ". ". "
  11. Some shredded cabbage
  12. Tomato sauce
  13. Green chutney
  14. Burger mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Mix boiled potatoes and all the dry masalas and shape them into tikki. Roll them into oats and shallow fry them till golden brown or crisp
  2. Now cut the burger buns into halves. Apply green chutney on one side and tomato ketchup on the other half
  3. Now place some onion and tomato rings and shredded cabbage on the lower half bun. Now place the tikki on it.
  4. Now scoop some veg burger mayonnaise and place it on the top. Cover it with the other half bun. Prick with tooth pick to make them in place and enjoy the burger
