ABOUT Bhaji Chatkara Burger RECIPE

Truly a magical burger with the goodness of multiple veggies. A twist with the burger mayonnaise and jaljeera masala enhances the taste more. So this burger is powerpacked with all the proteins, vitamins and nutrients and thus no compromise with health and taste either.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Potatoes, 2, chopped
  2. Green Peas, 1/2cup
  3. Paneer, 1/4cup, cubed
  4. Cauliflower, 1/2cup, chopped
  5. Carrot, 1/2cup, chopped
  6. Onion, 1 big, chopped
  7. French Beans, 1/4cup, chopped
  8. Ginger Garlic, 1tsp, grated
  9. Celery, 1/4cup, chopped
  10. Green onion, 1/4cup, chopped(whites and greens separated)
  11. Tomatoes, 3/4cup, chopped
  12. Capsicum, 1/2cup, chopped
  13. Burger mayonnaise, 2tsp
  14. Red chilli powder, 1+1/2tsp
  15. Turmeric powder, 1/4tsp
  16. Roasted Cumin seeds powder, 1/2tsp
  17. Coriander powder, 1/2tsp
  18. Pav Bhaji Masala, 1tsp
  19. Jaljeera Masala, 1tsp
  20. Lemon juice, 1+1/2tsp
  21. Cucumber, 1 small, sliced
  22. Salt to taste
  23. Butter, as required
  24. Burger Buns, 4

Instructions

  1. Take chopped potatoes, carrot, cauliflower, french beans and peas into a pressure cooker. Add 1/2cup water and salt and pressure cook for 1 whistle and then simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. When the pressure releases mash the veggies properly. Keep aside until required.
  3. Now take a pan and add 3-4tsp butter and let it heat.
  4. Add ginger garlic to it and saute for few seconds.
  5. Now add onions, whites of green onion and cook them until translucent.
  6. Now add chopped capsicum and saute.
  7. Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
  8. Now to this mixture add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, pav bhaji masala and salt and mix well.
  9. Now add 3/4 cup water or as per your desired consistency. Cook for few minutes.
  10. Add the mashed vegetables to it and cook further for 3-4 minutes.
  11. Add the celery, green part of green onions and burger mayonnaise and saute for 1 minute.
  12. Now add the paneer pieces to it and mix everything well.
  13. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
  14. The bhaji is ready.
  15. Now take burger buns and half them.
  16. Now take a tawa and roast the burger buns by applying butter until slight brownish.
  17. Now take the serving dish and put the base of burger buns on it.
  18. Apply burger mayonnaise on the inner sides of bun.
  19. Top with cucumber pieces, then put the bhaji on it, sprinkle jaljeera masala and then cover with top piece.
  20. Your tasty healthy bhaji chatkara burger is ready.
