Jhaal Muri

Ingredients to make Jhaal Muri

  • 4cups Puffed rice
  • 1/4cup Sev
  • 1/4cup Roasted peanuts
  • 1/2cup Boiled potatoes (boiled & cut as small pieces)
  • 1/2cup tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1/2cup cucumber (chopped finely)
  • 2tbsp Green chutney
  • 1/4cup tamarind paste
  • 4tsp mustard oil
  • Spicemix:
  • 4tsp Roasted cumin seeds powder
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1tsp Black salt
  • 1tsp mango powder
  • 1tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2tsp Garam masala powder

How to make Jhaal Muri

  1. Combine all the dry spices together. Set aside. Dry roast the puffed rice on slow flame for about 3 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Before serving, add the peanuts, sev, tomato, potato, cucumber, tamarind paste,green chutney, mustard oil and enough spice mix to the roasted puffed rice. Toss them and serve immediately.

Low calorie Tasty and Quick food. To be consumed immediately. A dash of mango pickle may be added to spritz it up.
