Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Boiled potato 5-6
  2. Green peas 1cup
  3. Green chillies 4-5 finely chopped
  4. Salt
  5. Turmeric powder
  6. Amchur powder
  7. Coriander leaves finely chopped
  8. Jeera powder
  9. Chat masala
  10. Mustard oil 1 tsp
  11. Refined oil for frying.


  1. In a pan or kadhai, add 1 TSP mustard oil. Once hot, add green chillies and then add the peas.
  2. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and salt. Cover with lid and allow it to cook.
  3. Properly mash the boiled potatoes. Add salt, jeera powder, amchur powder, salt finely chopped green chillies, coriander leaves and chat masala.
  4. Mix very properly and check for taste.
  5. Note : add salt on either peas or salt such that they correspond each other.
  6. Keep stirring the peas occasionally untill properly cooked.
  7. Once done, take peas out in a plate and let it cool.
  8. Take small portion from the mashed potatoes mixture make a ball with hand, and create a hole in the centre.
  9. In the hole add small amount of peas, and seal properly. Ur tikki is ready to be cooked.
  10. Make more tikki's with the mixture in the same way.
  11. Take a shallow pan and add refined oil. Shallow fry the tikkis on the pan from both side, on a medium flame.
  12. Once ready, serve the tikkis hot with green chutney and a cup of tea.
