    Nutri Beet Pops

    Ingredients to make Nutri Beet Pops

    • 1 large Beetroot (boiled)
    • oil for frying
    • Ice-cream sticks (10 pieces)
    • salt to taste
    • 1 teaspoon Dry mango powder
    • 1 tablespoon coriander chopped
    • 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
    • 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
    • 1 teaspoon red chilly powder
    • 1 teaspoon cumin roasted
    • 2 Green chilies (finely chopped)
    • 1/2 cup Bread crumbs
    • 2 tablespoon all purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup Granulated soy (Nutrella)
    • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
    • 1 large Potato (boiled)
    • mint chutney and ketchup for serving

    How to make Nutri Beet Pops

    1. In a large mixing bowl grate the beetroot and potatoes.
    2. Add bread crumbs, soy granules, all purpose flour, chopped onion, chopped green chilies, red chili powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, chat masala, chopped coriander, dry mango powder and salt to taste.
    3. Mix all ingredients to a doughy consistency and make lemon sized balls with palms slightly greased.
    4. Heat oil in a heavy bottom based wok. Meanwhile insert sticks in each ball and press the stuff tightly so it gets stuck to the stick. Give them desired shapes.
    5. Fry each lollipop (with the sticks) until golden brown.
    6. Serve hot with mint chutney, ketchup and a dollop of sour cream. And some freshly sliced salad on side.

    My Tip:

    if the dough is too sticky and starts breaking in oil just add a little more maida to it. For super extra crunch before frying - dip each lollipop in corn flour slurry, roll them in breadcrumbs and then fry.
