Kerala Fish Fry

Ingredients to make Kerala Fish Fry

  • 2 large King Fish steaks, cleaned
  • 1 tsp. ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp. kashmiri red chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 tbsp. lime juice
  • coconut oil to fry

How to make Kerala Fish Fry

  1. Make a paste of ginger-garlic paste, salt, chili powder, oil and lime juice with little water. Rub this paste on the fish steaks and marinate for an hour.
  2. Heat 1 tsp. oil on a tawa / pan and shallow fry the steak. When done on one side, flip it over to the other side and apply little more oil if required.
  3. Fry the fish to a golden colour on both sides. Serve, garnished with onion, lemon & green chilies.
