Masala Khichadi

Ingredients to make Masala Khichadi

  • Moriya 2 cup
  • buttermilk 2 glass
  • water 3 cup
  • oil 2 tbs
  • jeera 1/2 tsp
  • Dry red chilli 2
  • star anise 1
  • hing 1/4 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • Gree chilli chopped 2
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp

How to make Masala Khichadi

  1. SOAK 1 CUP SAMAK RICE IN 3 CUPS WATER FOR 10 MINS
  2. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 1/2 TSP CUMIN, 1 STAR ANISE & 2 DRY RED CHILLIES
  3. ADD 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA
  4. ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  5. ADD 2 CUPS BUTTERMILK
  6. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1 TSP SALT
  7. ADD THE DRAINED SAMAK RICE
  8. ADD 2 CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES, MIX
  9. COVER & COOK ON MEDIUM HEAT FOR 15-20 MINS
  10. ADD 2 TBSP CHOPPED FRESH CORIANDER LEAVES, SIMMER FOR 5 MINS
