Idiyappam egg pulav.

Ingredients to make Idiyappam egg pulav.

  • Idiyappam 3 cups
  • onion 1 big chopped
  • cabbage & carrot 1 cup chopped
  • spinach 1 1/2 cups, chopped.
  • green peas 1/4 cup. boiled.
  • eggs 2 well beaten with a pinch of salt.
  • salt
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • oil 4. tbsp
  • To grind
  • onion 1 small
  • garlic 10 cloves
  • chilli powder 1/4 tsp or a according to taste

How to make Idiyappam egg pulav.

  1. Take idiyappam & make into small pieces like this.
  2. heat a pan with oil & put onion. fry a bit.
  3. then add chopped cabbage & carrot , along with ground masala , turmerc & salt. spring some water if the masala is very dry.
  4. stir well. cook in low flame . when half done add spinach.& green peas. stir well. cook till all water is gone & veg r well cooked.
  5. meanwhile, take another pan & heat 1 tbsp of oil. add well beaten eggs. scramble it. keep aside.
  6. add adiyappam to the veg mixture mix well. then add cooked eggs. adjust salt. stir well.
  7. cover & cook everything for a few more min.
  8. serve hot with tomato ketchup for breakfast & with fried fish or chicken for dinner.

My Tip:

if u dont want eggs , avoid it. make veg pulav. If u add red spinach or a piece of beetroot, u will get good colour.
