About Masala Egg Crepes Recipe

It is a very tasty snack that takes very little time to prepare and can be made with little oil.

Masala Egg Crepes

Ingredients to make Masala Egg Crepes

  • onions 2
  • sugar 1 pinch
  • tomato 1 big
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • coriander powder 3/4 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 pinch
  • oil 3 tbsp
  • eggs 3
  • corn flour 1/4 cup
  • All purpose flour 3/4 cup
  • Milk 3 tbsp
  • Boiled and sliced egg 2
  • salt to taste

How to make Masala Egg Crepes

  1. Grind the onion to prepare the onion paste. Similarly grind the tomato to make the tomato puree. Beat the eggs and keep aside.
  2. Now in a pan, heat 1 tbsp of oil, add the onion paste and fry till the color changes to light brown. Then add in sugar and tomato puree and fry till the oil separates.
  3. Now add in the red chili powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Continue frying till a nice aroma develops. Now add salt, garam masala powder and mix it well.
  4. Then add in the beaten eggs and stir continuously so that there are no lumps. Once it is dried and cooked well, remove it from the stove.
  5. In a bowl, mix the corn flour, all purpose flour, 1 tbsp oil, salt and water to make a batter of pouring consistency.
  6. Heat very little oil in a pan, pour about 1 big ladle full of batter. Spread it properly in a round shape.
  7. When cooked from one side turn it over to other side. When cooked from both the sides remove it from the pan. Similarly make 3 other crepes.
  8. Now divide the egg filling into four portions. In each crepe spread a portion of the filling evenly over it.
  9. Fold it and serve with boiled egg slices.

My Tip:

To boil the eggs, first heat the water and then slowly add in the eggs one by one.
