ABOUT Jowar Bhakari with Spicy Thecha, Onion and green chilly RECIPE

A rustic kind of healthily yum combo from Maharashtra, Jwari chi bhakari( in marathi ) served with spicy Kolhapuri famous Thecha , green chillies and onion salad

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Jowar flour 2 cups
  2. Warm water 3 to 4 cups
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Green and red chilly mixed 8 to 10
  5. Garlic cloves 5 to 8
  6. Lemon juice 2 teaspoon
  7. Oil 1 tablespoon
  8. Jeera 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl take jowar flour , salt to taste and add warm water gradually... Mix properly and knead a soft dough . Keep covered for some time
  2. Take a big ball size dough ,knead it again and dust it with some dry flour again .. roll out bhakari as big as possible
  3. Heat tawa and place bhakari on it , cook from both sides by turning
  4. Let it cook
  5. Dry roast directly on flame
  6. Turn when done from one side and it's ready
  7. For Kolhapuri thecha, heat sone oil and sauté chillies, jeera and garlic cloves for some time
  8. Add salt to taste and lemon juice and coarsely (dardaraa) grind in mixie or on dil batta .. Kolhapuri thecha is ready
  9. Serve hot immediately Jowari chi bhakari with Kolhapuri Thecha and onion mirchi . Enjoy mouth watering delicious combo
