Cauliflower Masala Puri

Ingredients to make Cauliflower Masala Puri

  • wheat flour – 1 ½ cup
  • cauliflower Puree – ¾-1 cup
  • Crushed jeera – ½ tsp
  • Crushed Carom seeds – ½ tsp
  • Green chilli coarsely ground - 1
  • Thick curd – 1tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil – 1tbsp + 2cups for frying
  • water only if required.

How to make Cauliflower Masala Puri

  1. Wash, blanch and blend cauliflower florets into a smooth puree.
  2. In a bowl take wheat flour, salt, oil, crushed cumin seeds, carom seeds, green chili paste, curd. Mix well.
  3. Add cauliflower puree slowly at a time and knead it into a stiff dough.
  4. Cover and keep aside for 20-30 minutes.
  5. In a wok, heat oil. Take a small portion of dough and make a ball.
  6. Grease rolling board with oil. Place a ball and Roll evenly from all the sides. It should be little thick.
  7. Fry puri on medium-low flame until it gets golden brown color from both the sides
  8. Serve hot with Potato curry or bhaji or Chole.

My Tip:

For Puris dough always needs to be stiff. Use oil for rolling puris. Add water only if required. Blend Cauliflower florets into a smooth puree.
