Ingredients to make Tomato soup

  • butter - 1 Teaspoon
  • bay leaf - 1
  • garlic - 4 cloves
  • onion - 1 chopped
  • tomato - 4 chopped
  • Beetroot - 1/4 peeled and cubed
  • salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • sugar - 1 Teaspoon
  • cornflour - 1 Teaspoon
  • Milk - 1/4 Cup
  • tomato ketchup - 2 Teaspoon
  • water - 3-4 cup
  • Bread slices - 2 (For croutons)
  • oil - 1 Tablespoon

How to make Tomato soup

  1. Chop onion, tomato, beetroot and garlic.
  2. Take 2 bread slices and cut into small squares.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, fry bread slices till it turns golden on both sides. Remove it to plate and set aside.
  4. Melt some butter in a pressure cooker and add bay leaf, garlic, onion. Saute for a minute. Then add tomato, beetroot and saute for a minute. Add salt, sugar and cook for 2 minutes. Add water and mix well.
  5. When it is cooked, take out bay leaf. Blend the soup in mixer jar or using hand blender. I used a hand blender to puree the soup. Now stain the soup to get smooth texture.
  6. Take a pan, add soup and boil it. Add tomato ketchup, black pepper powder to it.
  7. Take Cornflour in a bowl, add milk and mix well
  8. Pour this mixture into the soup, bring it to a boil
  9. Your Tomato soup is ready to be served. Garnish the soup with croutons, black pepper powder, cream.
  10. Serve tomato soup hot and enjoy.
