  • Tuvr dal 1/4 cup
  • Rasam powder 2 tbsp
  • hing 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli 1
  • turmeric Powder
  • salt
  • coriander leaves
  • lemon 1
  • For Seasoning
  • ghee
  • jeera
  • curry leaves

How to make Lemon Rasam (Aids Digestion)

  1. PRESSURE COOK 1/4 CUP TUVR DAL WITH PINCH OF TURMERIC FOR 5 WHISTLES
  2. TAKE TWO TOMATOES. CHOP THEM
  3. ADD THEM TO BLENDER AND MAKE A THICK PUREE
  4. ADD 4 CUPS OF WATER
  5. STRAIN THEM
  6. REMOVE SEEDS
  7. BOIL TOMATO PUREE, ADD 2 TBSP RASAM POWDER
  8. ADD 1/2 TSP HING AND REQUIRED SALT
  9. ADD SLIT GREEN CHILLI AND 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER. MIX
  10. WHEN RAW SMELL OF TOMATO AND RASAM POWDER GOES OFF, ADD MASHED DAL
  11. ADD CORIANDER LEAVES
  12. WHEN FOAMY LAYER IS FORMED, TURN OFF THE FLAME
  13. PREPARE SEASONING WITH GHEE, JEERA AND CURRY LEAVES
  14. ADD SEASONING AND 2 TBSP FRESH LEMON JUICE
  15. SERVE WITH HOT RICE

My Tip:

Rasam tastes best when slow cooked. Donot reheat this Rasam
