Ingredients to make Matar Makhana Tikki

  • Boiled green peas 1 bowl
  • Roasted and crushed makhana 1 bowl
  • Boiled potato 1 large
  • Chopped onion 2tbsp
  • Chopped ginger 1tsp
  • Chopped green chili 1tsp
  • Chopped cashew nuts 1tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 1tsp
  • coriander powder 1tbsp
  • Dry mango powder 2tsp
  • ghee 1tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1tsp
  • Chopped coriander 2tbsp
  • oil for frying
  • For coating - cornflour mixed in half cup water and bread crumbs

How to make Matar Makhana Tikki

  1. HEAT 1 TSP GHEE, ADD 1 TSP CUMIN
  2. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF GINGER, GREEN CHILIES, 2 TBSP ONIONS, SAUTE FOR 2 MINS
  3. ADD 1 BOILED POTATO
  4. ADD 1 CUP BOILED GREEN PEAS
  5. ADD SALT, 1 TSP RED CHILI, 1 TBSP CORIANDER POWDER
  6. ADD 1 TBSP CASHEWS, 1 CUP ROASTED & CRUSHED MAKHANA
  7. ADD 2 TBSP WATER, MIX WELL
  8. ADD 2 TBSP FRESH CORIANDER
  9. ADD 2 TSP AMCHUR POWDER, STIR & COOK FOR 2 MINS
  10. MASH & SHAPE INTO BALLS
  11. COAT THE BALLS WITH CORNFLOUR-WATER SLURRY, ROLL IN BREADCRUMBS
  12. DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL
  13. FRY ON BOTH SIDES TILL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP
  14. SERVE HOT
