ABOUT Chicken Kadhai - Afghani Style RECIPE

This is the easiest chicken preparation that I've made till date. It does not require much ingredient and gets done so quickly. No spices and yet it does tastes excellent.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chicken - 1/2 kg
  2. Ginger - 1 tbsp finely crushed
  3. Black pepper - 1/2 tsp crushed
  4. Green chillies - 5-6 slit lengthwise
  5. Salt - to taste
  6. Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  7. Ginger juliennes - for garnishing
  8. Oil


  1. In a kadhai, add chicken and cook on high flame till it changes colour
  2. Add ginger, black pepper, green chillies and salt. Give it a stir
  3. Heat oil to smoking point In a separate pan.
  4. Add this oil to the kadhai and simmer it covered for 5 minutes
  5. Drizzle lemon juice over it and mix
  6. Garnish with ginger juliennes and serve hot with roti or naan!!!

Adding it to a really hot kadhai and not stirring it for some time, will not cause the chicken to stick.

without ghee/oil chicken would stuck in kadhahi ?
