Ingredients to make Garlic Chutney

  • garlic : 12 cloves
  • Red chillies : 5
  • Sesame oil : 2 teaspoon
  • mustard seeds : 1 teaspoon
  • asafoetida : 1/4 teaspoon
  • urad dal : 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt : to taste

How to make Garlic Chutney

  1. In a mixie jar, add garlic cloves and red chillies. Grind them into a fine paste.
  2. In a kadai, heat sesame oil. Add mustard seeds. Add the urad dal after the mustard seeds begin to splutter. Add asafoetida (hing) and the garlic paste.
  3. Garlic chutney is ready to serve.
  4. Serve it with hot idly or dosa
