This is one of the famous and affordable street foods very easily available in almost all tea shops,road side pull ups,hotels,beach stalls and in all cafeteria in southern India.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Raw Banana-1
  2. Gram flour\ besan flourRice flour-3 tbsp-1\2 cup
  3. Rice flour-3 tbsp
  4. Red chilly powder-1\2 tsp
  5. cooking soda-1\4 tsp
  6. Hing powder-1\2 tsp
  7. Salt -to taste
  8. oil- to fry

Instructions

  1. Peel the skin of raw banana and make very thin slices of it either with knife or peelers.keep the sliced pieces soaked in water to avoid discoloration.
  2. In a bowl add besan flour,rice flour,chilly powder,hing ,cooking soda and salt.add water little by little and make a thick batter.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.Dip each piece in the batter and fry them in the hot oil on both side .Do the same for all.
  4. Serve hot with chai/tea
