Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Beetroot : 2 (medium)
  2. Vullipaya (Pyaz, Onion) : 1
  3. Nune (Tel, Oil) : 1 tsp
  4. Uppu (Namak, Salt) : 1/2 tsp
  5. Kaaram (Mirchi powder, Chilly powder) : 1/2 tsp
  6. Pasupu (Haldi, Turmeric powder) : A pinch
  7. Black gram : 1 tbsp
  8. Cumin seeds : 1 tbsp
  9. Curry leaves : 5 - 8
  10. Chana dal : 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Cut the beet root into small pieces.
  2. Cut 1 small onion into small pieces.
  3. Now heat 1 or 2 tsp oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, black gram,curry leaves.
  4. Add onion pieces and fry for 1 min, add a pinch of turmeric powder, 2 sliced chillies, finally beet root pieces.
  5. Add 1/2 tsp salt (Your taste), Mix it well and fry for 10 min.
  6. Before you switch off the stove add 1/2 tsp chilli powder and Mix well and serve.
