ABOUT sooji Upma RECIPE

A very healthy and tasty recipe for toddlers.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup roasted sooji
  2. 1 tbsp oil
  3. 1-2 tsp mustard seeds
  4. 10-12 curry leaves
  5. 1 carrot
  6. 1-4 cup peas
  7. 1 onion
  8. 1 potato
  9. salt, to taste
  10. water, as required

Instructions

  1. In a wok, heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  2. Add onions and sauté for a min.
  3. Add all the chopped veggies and stir for 2-3 mins.
  4. Add adequate water and salt and let the water come to boil.
  5. Cook the veggies for 3-4 mins on medium flame then add sooji.
  6. Stir continuously to avoid any lumps formation.
  7. Add more boiled water if you feel the consistency thick.
  8. Serve hot.
